Mahashivaratri Shivalaksharchana Puja

Mahashivaratri is celebrated to venerate Lord Shiva and marks the day when the Lord manifested as a blazing column of fire. The festival is celebrated on the new moon day in the month of Maagha according to the Hindu calendar. It is believed that the people who fast on this night and offer prayers to Lord Shiva bring good luck into their life.
Lord Shiva is the main deity in Rameshwaram temple. Mahashivaratri celebrations are done on grand scale with the day devoted to chantings, offerings, homas and contemplation. Bala Vihar parents are invited in offering Shiva Laksharchana puja to the Lord on Sunday, February 12, 2023 at Chinmaya Rameshwaram.
