Lord Shiva – the blue necked one

Lord Shiva consumed the poison emanated during the churning

of the Milky ocean so that it would not destroy the world. If he had swallowed it completely , it would have destroyed him, so he kept it in his throat. Through this, Lord Shiva has shown us how to deal with bitterness that is around us, without becoming bitter or spreading the bitterness around. Let us all aspire to be like Mahadeva, deal with distasteful experiences and still spread the sweetness around.
