Sri Rama Navami is a Hindu festival that celebrates the birth of Lord Rama, the seventh avatar of Vishnu, on the ninth day of Chaitra Navratri. Chaitra Navratri is a festival of nine days dedicated to nine forms of Goddess Shakti. The festival has a special significance at Chinmaya Rameshwaram since Lord Rama is a presiding deity in the temple.

Join us for 9 days of chanting of Tulsi Ramayana, led by Swami Ishwarananda.

Mon-Sat April 8-13 v 9:30 am – 12:30 pm

Sun April 14 v 3:30 pm – 6:30 pm

Mon-Tue April 15-16 v 9:30 am – 12:30 pm

Join us for music, bhajans and chanting daily 30 minutes before parayan

Parayan will be followed by Sri Rama Aarati & Prasadam

Sri Rama Navami will be celebrated on Wednesday April 17, 2024. Join us in the evening for puja and a special cultural performance.

About Pranavi

Pranavi is a senior at Northwood High School. Music has always been Pranavi’s passion and she is blessed to be a student of Smt. Padma Kutty for the past 11 years. She has been attending Balavihar since Shishu, and currently teaches the Junior Shruti group at CMLA.
With a deep interest in medicine, Pranavi has researched on Obstructive Sleep Apnea at UCI and was selected to present her solution, an alternative to CPAP, at CHOC’s Grand Rounds. Upon acceptance into Johns Hopkins’ GHLC internship she presented her findings as a Student Speaker.
Pranavi also enjoys playing tennis and serving her community at the American Red Cross.
